At Clinique Dentaire RO, our Montréal dentists perform tooth extractions and wisdom teeth removal when a tooth cannot be saved or is causing issues for your oral health.
What is a Tooth Extraction?
A tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. At Clinique Dentaire RO, our dentists perform extractions only when a less invasive option would be ineffective, or if keeping the tooth will compromise your oral health.
Common reasons for pulling a tooth include excessive tooth damage and problematic wisdom teeth. Teeth are also sometimes pulled to prepare for other dental procedures.
Minor Surgeries
Our dentists perform minor surgeries and include the following procedures:
- Simple extraction
- Wisdom teeth included
- Biopsy
- Pre-prosthetic
- Exposure impacted tooth (ortho)
- Frenectomy
- Apicoectomy
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to erupt in the back corners of a normal adult mouth, usually between 17 and 25 years of age.
This third set of teeth is not always functional, and can crowd out other teeth as they develop. They may also create problems with your oral hygiene. In these cases, your dentist may recommend removing them.
